Johnny Harris

Johnny LeFred Harris, passed away on February 24, 2020 in Tulsa, OK.  Johnny was born on June 02, 1940 in Vinita, OK to Buster Harris and Emma Jean Humphrey.

Johnny attended schools in Vinita, Oklahoma. He worked for the United States Postal Service for many years until his retirement.  Johnny is of the Baptist faith and worshipped here in Vinita, Oklahoma when he was younger.  He loved spending time with family and friends, and was also known to spend some of his time at the casino.  Johnny would take a trip to Las Vegas at least once a year.  He was a member of a Masonic Lodge in Tulsa Oklahoma.  Johnny will be missed by all who knew him and loved him.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Buster Harris and Emma Jean Humphrey, wife, Thelma Harris and son, Thomas Harris, brother, Jimmy Brookfield.

Johnny is survived by his son, Sammy Gilmer of Lakewood, CA; brothers, Jacky Brookfield of Vinita, OK and Vic Harris of Los Angeles, CA; grandson, Emil Gilmer, and many other relatives, friends and loved ones.

Family visitation will be on Thursday March 05, 2020 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Vinita, OK.  Funeral service will be held Friday March 06, 2020 also, at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. Farris Downing officiating.  Johnny will be laid to rest at Green Acres Memorial Garden in Tulsa, OK.  Family and friends will be serving as Pall Bearers.
