Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma, 918-786-2261. Joseph Lee Alexander Sr., 88, resident of Afton, Oklahoma, passed away on August 7, 2017 at Integris Grove Hospital. Joseph was born on October 2, 1928 to George and Ollie (Webb) Alexander. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, where he retired after 23 years of service. After retiring from the military, Joseph worked as a civilian at the Vance Air Force Base located in Enid, Oklahoma. Joseph was a very talented and knowledgeable air craft mechanic. When Joseph wasn't working, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind to live out his legacy his five children; Joseph Alexander, Jr., and wife Janet of Afton, Oklahoma, Judith Sylvester of Abilene, Texas, Tammy Drake of Joplin, Missouri, Teresa LaPoint of Arlington, Texas and Sondra Bell and husband Kevin of Kennedale, Texas, his brother William Alexander and sister Maria Stark. Joseph was blessed with twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Services will be held at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the Grove Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Bishop officiating.
