Joseph Paul Goodin, 75, met Jesus face to face February 12, 2022.
He was born on September 5, 1946, in Clarksville, Arkansas to Roy E. and Mary Bessie (Morris) Goodin. He was drafted into the United States Army on July 5, 1966. On March 12, 1969, Joe married the love of his life, Diana Sue Kight in Tulsa, OK. They made Owasso, OK their home for over 20 years before moving to Watova, OK. They were one month shy of 53 years of marriage.
Joe had a love for his kids, grandkids, church, and people in general. In 1983 he became the pastor of Full Gospel Christian Center in Watova, OK. He held credentials with H.E.L.P.S. Fellowship and IA Fellowship. In his spare time, he enjoyed fattening cattle to give to his kids each year for Christmas gifts, playing on his tractor, and mowing the grass. Joe earned his pilot’s license and at the age of 60, went skydiving. Everyone loved Joe. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Joe is survived by his wife, Diana of the home, his children; Paula Parker and husband, Mike of Salina, OK, Jolie Blankenship and husband, Mike of Talala, OK. Five grandchildren; Rachael Blankenship-Davis and husband Cole, Mikayla Mercer and husband Ryan, Derek, Denton, and Kara Highfield.
Siblings: Roy Goodin and wife Martha of Pendleton, SC and Elnoria McKinney of Goose Camp, AR, along with a host of friends and other family members.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Roy Goodin and Bessie Goodin Guthrie and a sister, Wilma McKown.
Funeral services for Joe Goodin will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Full Gospel Christian Center in Watova, OK. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 16 at Full Gospel Christian Center in Watova, OK from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Service.
