Joyce Crabtree

Joyce N. Crabtree, 74 year old Langley area resident, passed away on Friday April 22, 2016 at the Alliance Health Center in Pryor. She was born on August 10, 1941 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Harriet (Franks) and Clarence O. Clayton. Joyce attended school in Shreveport, Louisiana. On November 2, 1957 she married Jimmie Crabtree in Shreveport. They have made their home in the Langley area since 1973. Joyce was a talented porcelain doll maker, quilter and seamstress. She was a regular volunteer at the Blue House in Langley. Joyce will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Spavinaw Hills House of Worship. Preceding her in death were her parents, a brother, Grady Clayton and a sister, Barbara Clayton and one grandchild. The family includes; her husband, Jimmie Crabtree of the home, children, Ronnie Crabtree and wife Robin of Vinita, Vicky Monahan and husband Clint of Pryor, Jody Crabtree and wife Kelli of Monkey Island; siblings, James Clayton of Shreveport, Wilma Watkins of Shreveport, Betty Jane Parker of Bastrop, LA, Edna Pilinski of Blanchard, LA, Susan Rogers of Ft. Worth, Texas, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren with another on the way. The family will receive friends at the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home in Langley on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 from 6-8 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Spavinaw Hills House of Worship, with Pastor Tobe Sperry officiating.
