Juanita Roselle Sheppler

Juanita Sheppler of Talala, Oklahoma, was born September 2, 1945, at Mercy Hospital in Benton Harbor, Michigan, to James and LeBurta Nash. She died April 10 after a short battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband Larrie Sheppler; sisters, Wanda (Dewey Murdock) Sheppler of Berrien Springs, MI; Marla (Ron) Norton of Buchanan, MI; brothers, Bill Nash of Eucha, OK; and Lyndon (Claudia) Nash of Woodenville, WA.; Also survived by children, David (Brenda) Sheppler of Townsend, MT; and Christy Sheppler of Talala, OK; Grandchildren Amber (Preston) Averett of Bozeman, MT; and Tyler (Kendall) Sheppler and great-grandchild Daniel Sheppler; and extended family and friends.

Juanita grew up in Berrien Springs, Michigan. She married Larrie on June 13, 1965 in Berrien Springs, at the old courthouse. Their early married years they spent between the family farm in Rockland,Wisconsin; Janesville, Wisconsin, and Berrien Center, Michigan.

In the early 80's they moved to Northeast Oklahoma to be closer to her parents. She worked for the Nowata School system as a custodian and bus driver for many years. She retired in 2010 from Rogers University having worked at RSUTV.

She enjoyed her horses, crafting including crocheting and making sugar eggs. She was active in the Nowata Seventh-day Adventist church in various capacities. She will be missed greatly as she rests in peace until the 2nd coming of her Lord and Savior.

In lieu of flowers Juanita wanted you to send flowers/plant to someone you haven't reached out to in awhile or plant a flower or tree. She also has fond memories of handing out May baskets. A memorial service for Juanita is planned for Sunday, April 21, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Nowata Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
