Mrs. Judy E. Combs, 58 years old, died Saturday January 19, 2008 at St. Johns Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Judy E. Combs was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, February 14, 1949, the daughter of Ervin J. Munkirs and Betty Jo (Sailing) Munkirs. She was raised and educated in Bartlesville. Mr. Robert F. Combs and Judy (Munkirs) Combs were united in marriage July 22, 1971. Soon after their marriage, they moved to Nowata, Oklahoma. Judy worked for the Osage Nursing Center for a short while before starting her 30 plus year career with the Nowata Nursing center as a Nurses Aid, LPN and eventually Administrator of the nursing home, retiring in 2006. Mrs. Combs loved her family and friends and she was a devoted caregiver. Her hobbies included shopping, fishing and making soap. She loved cooking for her family and time spent with them. Judy will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Mrs. Combs is survived by her husband Robert Combs, one son Tracy L. Combs, four daughters Christy Howell, JoAnn M. Combs, Carol J. Barnes and Brandy D. Combs, two brothers Jay Munkirs and his wife Wanda and Ernie Schnider, one sister Kim Kipps, seven grandchildren Timothy S. Howell, Nicole Howell, Tyler A. Howell, Davis G. Manley, Kyle R. Starr, Jerome Combs and Jessica Combs and one great grandchild Stacy R. Guffey. Mrs. Combs is preceded in death by her parents Ervin J. and Betty Jo Munkirs, stepmother Sara Munkirs, grandmother Murtle Tautfast and sister Twila Munkirs.
