Kathryn Carleton

Kathryn Ann (Kindsvater) Carleton, 77, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma passed away Friday, November 4, 2011. She was born October 20, 1934 in Bartlesville to Emil and Lucille (Durheim) Kindsvater. Katie attended and graduated from College High School, the class of 1952. She married Keith Carleton on April 21, 1951; they were blessed with six children. Family meant everything to Katie. She not only raised their six children, but also cared for Keith's mother and grandmother in the home. She found pride in taking care of her family; as her family was always her first priority. She was a very giving and selfless person. She worked as a Unit Secretary at Jane Phillips Hospital from 1981 until she retired in 1995. She enjoyed the company of her pets, sewing, crafts, reading and music. Katie was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Lucille Kindsvater. She is survived by her loving husband, Keith, of the home; children, Lerryn Meza and her husband, Rudy, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Gary Carleton and wife, Peggy, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Stephen Carleton and wife, Becky, of Dewey, Oklahoma, Gregg Carleton and wife, Martha, of Avon, Colorado, Sherri Wood and husband, Jim, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Lori Zinn and husband, Steve, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; sister, Mary Jones and husband, Don, of Oxnard, California; 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church of Bartlesville. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. A family visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Neekamp-Luginbuel Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church.
