Keith Sterling Folk, "Sonny" died Saturday, January 29, 2011 in Tulsa. He was born November 10, 1928 in Wann, Oklahoma, son of Claude and Minnie (Harris) Folk. Sonny grew up in Wann and South Coffeyville before joining the United States Army. He worked various other jobs including: bartender/bouncer and welder/ironworker. He was a member of the Iron Workers Union # 433. Sonny was a resident of the Osage Nursing Home in Nowata, however, he enjoyed the years and time he spent in Las Vegas. "Sonny" was an all-around good guy who enjoyed: horses, animals, fishing, music and dancing; as well as, scenic afternoon drives and just being around people, especially his friends and family. Oh and of course songwriting. "Sonny" is survived by: 4 children: Tammy Collingsworth of Skiatook, OK; Kim Smith of Tulsa, OK; Tommy Roberts of Tulsa, OK and Desiree Folk of Coffeyville, KS; 4 grandchildren: Casey Hindman, Shelly Hindman, Quentin Collingsworth and Kelsey Collingsworth; 4 great grandchildren: Geramyah, Colton, Cassidi and Canyon. He was preceded in death by: his parents; nine siblings; granddaughter, Tori and great grandson, Tristan. Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at First Baptist Church, Nowata, Oklahoma with Rev. Jimmy Don Harrington officiating. Services are under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Service of Nowata.
