Arrangements are under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Service. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com. Larry D. Fields passed away at his home in Nowata on October 27, 2015. He was born in Nowata, Oklahoma on June 11, 1957. He attended Lincoln Elementary School and continued there through junior high school. At the age of 18, he joined the United States Army. Then in 1974 after leaving the military, he moved to Denver, Colorado to be with his mother and other siblings. He stayed in Colorado until 1981 and moved back to his hometown in Nowata. He worked as a handyman. Then in 1998 he became disabled and was unable to work. He secured a residence at Fairview Apartments until his death on October 27, 2015. He will be remembered by everyone that loved him as being the helpful one. He never allowed anyone to feel sorry for him due to his condition. He would like his family to remember him as he was before he became disabled and we will always love him and celebrate 4th of July as our reunion with him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon E. Fields and Natalee E. Fields, and his younger sister, Stephanie Fields. He is survived by a daughter, Amber Fields; sisters, Jackie Hoover of Gary, Indiana, Jeannie Mayhew of Denver, Colorado; brothers, Ernest L. Fields and Gary W. Fields both of Denver, Colorado, and many nieces and nephews.
