Lee Brown

Lee Andrew Brown was born to the late Earlene Lynch Harris on October 27, 1928 in Hazelhurst, Mississippi. Lee Andrew moved to Memphis and married the late Bertha Mae Tipton. To this union, two children were born, Janet Darlene and Stanley Lee. Lee Andrew moved to Dewey, OK and joined the Westside First Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. B.F. Colbert. He united in marriage to the late Kathryn (Ogans) Brown. In 1967, Lee Andrew accepted the calling to the ministry and was licensed and ordained under Rev. B.F. Colbert. Rev. Brown retired from Zinc Corporation of America after several years of service. Rev. Brown was active in the Saint Paul District Association and was a member of the Pastors and Minister Conference. Rev. Brown pastored First Baptist Vinita of Vinita, OK, First Baptist Church of Nowata, OK and Little Flock Baptist Church in South Coffeyville, OK. He remained a faithful member of Westside First Baptist Church until his death. Rev. Brown is survived by one daughter, Janet Darlene Forrest of Memphis, Tennessee; one son, Rev. Stanley Lee (Myrna) Brown of Lawrenceville, Georgia; two grandsons, Richard Bernard Forrest of Memphis, Tennessee, Stanley Travis Brown of Lawrenceville, Georgia; three granddaughters, DeAndrea (Reinhold Jr.) Taylor of Memphis, Tennessee, Christy Forrest (Kenny Sr.) Robinson of Oakland, Tennessee, Kelsey Lee-Ann Brown of Lawrenceville, Georgia; six great-grandchildren, Amaria Forrest, Amir Forrest, Kianna Forrest, Richard Forrest, Jr., Reinhold Taylor III, all of Memphis, Tennessee and Kenny Robinson, Jr. of Oakland, Tennessee; cousin, Bonnie Burress of Memphis, Tennessee and a host of other relatives and friends.
