Lester Warehime

Lester Leroy "Les" Warehime, age 76, a Bartlesville resident, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014 at his home. Lester Leroy Warehime was born on February 7, 1938 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. He was the son of Frank L. and Nora E. (Nightengale) Warehime. He was raised in Okesa and attended the Neloganey schools. Les was a graduate of College High School in Bartlesville. After serving his country in the U. S. Army, Les came back to Bartlesville where he was employed as a Draftsman with Phillips Petroleum Company. He later moved to Tulsa where he worked for the John Zink Company. Les then became self-employed when he started Custom Controls in Tulsa, a company that made thermo-couplers and large control panels. He returned to Bartlesville in October of this year where he continued living in retirement. Les was a member of the First Christian Church in Tulsa and also several professional organizations. He loved writing and genealogy and was the author of two published books, "History of Ranching the Osage" and "The Osage, Its Ranching Legacy." Survivors include his brother, Gary Warehime and his wife, Rhonda of Okesa, Oklahoma, two sisters, Joyce O'Neal and her husband, Jack of Dewey, Oklahoma and Linda Corbett and her husband, Mike of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Barbara Barnes and Louise Bush.
