Lillian Maxine Crisp passed from this life into the arms of our Lord and Savior on the morning of November 24, 2022. We know in good faith that to be absent from this body is to be present with our Lord. Our dear Lillian is walking hand in hand with our Lord and Savior, down the streets of gold rejoicing. Lillian took her first breath of life on October 1, 1932. God blessed this world and our family with 90 beautiful years of life with Lillian. Many things in life change, but one thing that never changed was the outstanding love she held for her family and all who knew her, to say she was blessed with an abundance of family would not begin to describe the blessings God bestowed upon her.
On the day of August 23, 1955, Lillian joined Carl Ray Crisp SR, the love of her life in marriage. Lillian loved Carl with a fierce love no words could describe. Unfortunately, Carl passed from this life on January 9, 1992, but even in passing Lillian held the love for her husband close to her heart until the morning she greeted him at the gates of Heaven to begin their eternal journey.
God blessed this union with three children, Carl Ray Jr, Joe, and Joyce. The words love simply do not describe how close Lillian held her children in her heart, as she opened her arms to whoever needed a mother and loved all. They will miss her, but they will find comfort in knowing this is not goodbye, but it is simply I will see you later.
Lillian had a profound love for others, and she enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and her church family above all else. She spent many years with her friends at church in what they called Sew to Sew, which was a ministry that helped hundreds of people over the years. They truly will miss her warm smile and kind hugs and all she had to offer.
Lillian was born into a large family and was no stranger to loss. She lost her husband, her parents, many brothers and sisters, and one of the greatest losses we can suffer-the loss of a child, but she held strong to her faith knowing God had a plan and she has now received her Heavenly reward.
Those left to cherish her beautiful memories include one son; Joe, a daughter; Joyce and all her grandchildren and great-grand children, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
The family of Mrs. Crisp has entrusted her care to the loving staff of the Benjamin Funeral Service in Nowata, OK. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com.
