Linda Jordan

October 24, 1947 — July 3, 2006

Grove, OK - Linda Suzanne Haas Jordan, 58, died Monday, July3, 2006, at St. John's Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. Linda was born October 24, 1947 at Indianapolis, Indiana to William and Miriam Sue (Cassaday) Haas. She spent her working life as a Licensed Practical Nurse, and was the Director of Nursing at the Medico Lodge North. She also volunteered many hours with the Red Cross. Linda also volunteered as a reserve police officer. Linda was a very caring person. Friends and family described her as "selfless." Linda never knew a stranger, and was helpful and giving to all who knew her. She enjoyed music from the sixties and seventies, particularly Barry Manilow and Elvis Presley. Linda received numerous awards from the American Red Cross in recognition of her hours of volunteer service. She served as the Kansas State Nurse liaison for the Red Cross. Linda also enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing, crocheting, sewing and going to the flea market as well as the casino. Linda is preceded in death by her father, William Haas, in September of 2000. She is survived by her husband, Ron, of the home. She is also survived by her mother, Miriam "Sue" Haas; her two children Ronald Wayne Jordan, Jr. of Winfield, KS and his wife Lori and Ronda Porter and her husband Jason of Arkansas City, KS; her sister, Kathie Wiltfong of Seneca, KS; her brother Dan Haas of Overland Park, KS; her brother John Haas of Seneca, KS; her brother Charles Haas and his wife Brenda of Maple Valley, WA; her brother Mark Haas of Merrian, KS; her brother Frederick Haas of Seneca, KS and her brother Steven Haas of Seneca, KS. Linda is also survived by five grandchildren: Shelley Suttles; Heather Jordan; Jessica Jordan; Haley Porter and Kasyn Porter. Graveside services will be 10:00 am Friday, July 7, 2006, at Olympus Cemetery in Grove. Pastor Wayne Shaw will preside. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6pm until 8pm at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. Arrangements are by Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Service of Grove.
