Lisa Ladean Lowrey

September 5, 1959 — June 15, 2023

South Coffeyville, Oklahoma

Lisa Ladean (Wilson) Lowrey was born on September 5, 1959, in Coffeyville, Kansas to Jack Dean Wilson and Olive Ann (Howe) Wilson. Lisa passed away peacefully on June 15, 2023, at the age of 63 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Lisa spent her entire life in the Nowata County area, growing up and attending school at Lenapah High School. On September 6, 1975, Lisa married the love of her life, Jim Lowrey in Lenapah, OK. Together, the couple had two sons: Jesse and Michael. Lisa worked hard raising her boys and was very proud of them. One of Lisa’s many passions in life was cooking. She could cook for 2 people or 200 people. Not only did Lisa enjoy cooking for her family, but she also enjoyed working as a cook at the South Coffeyville Stockyards, a position she would do for many years until a stroke left her unable to. Lisa gained many friends, working as a waitress at the Southern Supper Club for many years. In her family, Lisa was the matriarch in the family, as she hosted all the family gatherings and prepared everything from scratch.

In her free time, Lisa enjoyed sitting under the carport to watch the hummingbirds around her feeders, traveling to Colorado for vacation and riding in the mountains in the side by side, shopping with her sister: Lynette, and spending time with her family. The names “Mom” and “Grandma” were very near and dear to her heart. Lisa also loved her dogs, all five of them.

Lisa was a very special and independent person. She was adventurous and was always up for a good time. Lisa could talk to anyone and was very outgoing. Lisa was passionate and always worked hard at whatever she was doing. She would even help Jim with whatever needed to be done, whether it be repairing or building fence or sorting cattle. Lisa will be missed deeply by all who knew her.

Lisa is survived by husband: Jim Lowrey of South Coffeyville, OK; her father: Jack Wilson and wife, Lorene of Delaware, OK; her son: Michael Lowrey and wife, Amber of South Coffeyville, OK; her sister: Lynette Long and husband, Cricket of Delaware, OK; her daughter in law: Angela (Ethel) Lowrey of Nowata, OK; her grandchildren: Mekayla Lowrey of South Coffeyville, Augustas Lowrey of South Coffeyville, Hunter Lockman and wife, Sierra of Bowring, OK, and Corbin Lockman and wife, Alyssa of Pawhuska, OK; her great-grandchildren: Brynlee Lockman of Pawhuska, OK, Paige Lockman of Pawhuska, OK, Kiana Lockman of Bowring, OK, Ema Lockman of Bowring, OK, and Allie Lockman of Bowring, OK; her fur babies: Duke, Hercules, Spanky, Mule, and Donkey, along with many other family members and friends.
