Lloyd June Carder, 87, long-time rural Vinita pastor, went to be with the Lord, May 4, 2017, at his home with family at his side. Lloyd was born June 1, 1929, in Valley Springs, California to Ernest Luther and Mary Rebecca (Page) Carder. Lloyd was united in marriage to Dorothy A. Inman on June 2, 1951, in Vinita. He worked at the BF Goodrich plant in Miami from 1951 until his retirement in 1982. Lloyd was ordained a Southern Baptist minister in 1959 at Kelso Baptist Church and pastored the church for 22 years. He also pastored Maybelle Baptist Church and Utopia Baptist Church. Lloyd supply pastored at many churches. Survivors include his wife Dorothy, of 65 years, of the home, son Dean; Vinita, sister Mable; Miami, two grandchildren, Kevin; Joplin, Chauntelle Harding, Miami; six great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were sisters; Violet, Alice, Lilly and Velma, brothers; Claude, Billy, Fred, Earney and Don. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, May 7, 2017 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be 2p.m., Monday, May 8, 2017 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel with Rev. Skip McClain and Micah Wade officiating. Interment will follow in the Williams Timberhill Cemetery, East of Welch. In lieu of flowers, family request donations made to the Salvation Army Backpack Program. Services are under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.
