Lois Jeune Moore Paige was born June 28, 1934 in Oklahoma City, OK to Grace Edith Tyner Moore and Horace Hart (Dinty) Moore.
The Moore family lived briefly in Oklahoma City, Kansas City, and Denver before Lois’s father volunteered to serve in World War II. At that time, Lois and her mother moved to Nowata.
Lois was in fourth grade when she moved, and she loved growing up in Nowata, taking piano lessons and having adventures with friends.
Lois excelled in high school. She was first chair in flute in the orchestra and marched in the school band. She was editor of the high school yearbook her senior year and was Valedictorian of her senior class in 1952.
In eighth grade, she met the love of her life, Jerry Lee Paige at a friend’s house. They dated from then on, eloping shortly after she graduated from high school when Jerry returned from serving in the army during the Korean War.
Jerry and Lois continued to live in Nowata after they were married. About two years later, they moved to Stillwater so Jerry could go to Oklahoma State University, where he earned his geology degree. Upon completion of his degree, the family returned to Nowata.
Lois and Jerry had the joy of 30 years of marriage together and were blessed with 2 sons, Jerry Moore Paige (Dee) and Neal Douglas Paige. Lois loved being a mom and she was a wonderful one.
A few years after Jerry died in 1981, Lois moved to Tulsa (from Snyder, Texas) to be near her mother in Nowata. A life long Christian, she joined Asbury United Methodist Church and participated in Precepts Bible studies led by her son Dee.
Throughout her adult life, Lois worked as an administrative assistant for several different companies. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, and was a huge tennis fan. Most of all, she was an avid OSU Cowboy sports fan for life. She loved watching the Pokes play on TV and also enjoyed attending all types of OSU sporting events in person.
In August 2022, she moved to the Woodlands Texas to live with her son Neal and his wife Kathy. She was living there when she passed away.
