Lora Mathis

Luginbuel Funeral Home,Vinita, (918) 256 - 5555 - Lora Mae (Trickey) Mathis, 85 year old resident of Norman and formerly of Big Cabin and Vinita, Oklahoma passed away Monday, July 20, 2015 in Norman. Lora was born in Big Cabin, Oklahoma on January 9, 1930 to her parents Ples Andrew and Louisa (Epperson) Trickey. She grew up in Big Cabin, Oklahoma where she graduated class of 1948 from Big Cabin High School. Lora took care of her family and worked as a sales clerk for TG&Y and Walmart mostly in the Fabric Department. She enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing, quilting, and Lora made many quilts for her children, grandchildren, and her great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Vickie Charlene Mathis; two sisters, Mary Ann Martin and Rose Marie Wolff; and her granddaughter, Lorie Louise Baker; Lora is survived by her son Jerry Mathis and wife Linda of Athens, Texas; her daughter Louise Baker and husband Ron of Norman; two sisters, Dixie Mitchell and husband Jerry of Broken Arrow; Lou Cheek and husband Fred of Lawton; five grandchildren, Julie Bussum and husband Chris; Justin Baker; Christopher Baker and wife Hannah all of Norman; Vanessa Lane and husband Ryan of Kansas; and Courtney Owen and husband Jason of Texas; eleven great grandchildren; her brother-in-law Walter Wolff of Jenks; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, July 24, 2015 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel in Vinita with interment at Big Cabin Cemetery, Big Cabin, Oklahoma.
