Loren Hicks

Loren Dale Hicks "Fatman", passed away at his home in Pryor, OK, on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at the age of 42. Loren was born on August 7, 1971 in Jay, OK, the son of Hubert Steve Hicks and Karen Fay (Jackson) Hicks. Loren attended Grove Public schools where he graduated in 1989. After graduation Loren worked as a handyman all around Delaware County. On June 10, 1994 Loren married Mary Bethel in Zena, OK. Loren enjoyed hunting, writing, and playing with the kids. He loved to be around his family. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his brother Stewart Hicks He is survived by his wife Mary Hicks of the home; six children: Lane Hicks of Pryor, OK, Austin Hicks, Gunner Hicks, Stormy Hicks, Sunny Hicks, Summer Hicks all of home; parents Hubert and Karen Hicks of Zena, OK; one sister Tanya Blessing and her husband John of Zena, OK; one brother Henry Hicks and his wife Karen of New Mexico; and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held at the Delaware Baptist Church on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 2PM with Pastor Mike Earp, presiding. The burial will follow at the Zena Cemetery in Zena, OK. The family will greet friends from 6PM to 8PM at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, OK on Thursday, September 5, 2013. Arrangements are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, OK. Friends and family may leave notes of encouragement by viewing Loren's Book of Memories at www.honoringmemories.com. Casket bearers will be John Blessing, Henry Hicks, Lane Hicks, Austin Hicks, Duncan Kelly, Daniel Collins, and Gunner Hicks.
