Marcella Bubniak

Grove, OK - Marcella Jean Bubniak, 83, died Tuesday afternoon at her home in Grove, Oklahoma. Marcella was born March 4, 1923 at Kansas City, Missouri to Elroy Mock and Helen (Lataurette) Mock. She grew up in Kansas City, graduated from Paseo High School and later married Claude Wistrom. The Wistroms moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and then to Grove in 1967. The couple owned and operated the Red Rock Resort until Claude's death in 1972. Marcella continued to run the resort until 1992. On December 22, 1973, she married Marshall Bubniak. Marcella was of the Methodist faith. Survivors are her husband, Marshall, of the home; a daughter, Claudia Pollan of Grove; one son, Ron Wistrom & his wife, Kathy of Grove; five grandsons, Brian Pollan & his wife, Mandy of Grove, Casey Pollan & his wife, Leah of Norman, Oklahoma, Chance and Tracey Wistrom, both of Springfield, Missouri, and Grant Wistrom & his wife, Melissa of Seattle, Washington; one granddaughter, Marci Pollan of Grove; and two great-grandsons, Brant Pollan of Grove and Wyatt Wistrom of Seattle. "Grammie" was also survived by a step-son, Greg Bubniak & his wife, Melody of Owasso, Oklahoma; three step-granddaughters, Amber, Hattie & Megan and two step-great-granddaughters, Gabriella and Danielle. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her first husband, Claude; by a sister, Shirley Mits; by a grandson, Codie Pollan and by a great-grandson, Caiden Pollan. Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Monday, November 13, 2006 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove with Dr. Wayne Shaw and Chaplain John McPhail, officiating. Interment will follow in Grove's Olympus Cemetery, under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home. A visitation will be held Sunday, 6-8 p.m., at the home of Ron Wistrom and the family suggests that those who wish, donate to the Grant Wistrom Family Foundation for fighting pediatric cancer.
