Marilyn Diane Jordan, a lifetime resident of Nowata, left this life Thursday evening, November 15, 2007 in Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa after a very long illness. She was 67 years, 5 months, and 25 days of age. Marilyn Diane Jordan began this life May 24, 1940 in Nowata, Oklahoma as the daughter of Robert E. Anderson and Doris E. (Peters) Anderson. Diane (as she was known by her family and friends) has lived in Nowata all of her life. She was a 1958 graduate of Nowata High School where she was active in many school activities and was an exceptionally good student. Diane was a talented pianist and attended Northeastern State University, majoring in music. She later attended Rogers State University and Tri-County Tech. Diane met and later was married to Michael L. Jordan on June 18, 1960 at Nowata. Diane had worked at several jobs around Nowata while she was a student and later after her marriage. She retired from Farmer's Home Administration. Diane was a member of Hillside Christian Church. She was an avid reader of her bible and other religious publications. She was very interested in politics and world events. Diane's health began to deteriorate while she was still a young woman, but she enjoyed traveling and was able to visit most of our states before her health prevented travel. Diane enjoyed her family and spending time with them. Diane is survived by her husband, Mike Jordan of the home, one son, Bruce Jordan and his wife, Robin, of Nowata, one daughter, Susan Clark and her husband, Rick, of Tahlequah, her grandchildren, Amy Clark, Bryan Clark, and Crissy Clark, all of Tahlequah, her great-grandson, Kobe Clark of Tahlequah, her brother and his wife, Gerald and Barbara Anderson,of Gore, Oklahoma, her mother in law, Madeline Jordan of Nowata, other relatives, and her friends. Diane was preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Anderson on July 2, 1987, by her mother, Doris E. Anderson on February 4, 2003, by one granddaughter, Ashli Brooke Jordan on April 8, 2002, by one brother, Gary Anderson on January 5, 2005, and by her father-in-law, LeRoy Jordan on January 22, 2001.
