Marion Eugene Royer

December 12, 1944 — August 4, 2023

Nowata, Oklahoma

Marion “Bud” Eugene Royer, 78, a lifetime resident of Nowata, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023, at his residence. Bud was born on December 12, 1944, in Nowata to Everett Royer and Nora (Goldsberry) Royer.

Bud worked for the County of Nowata for more than 20 years, working as a heavy equipment operator. He had several interests that he enjoyed such as working on word search puzzle books, watching John Wayne movies, and going to shop at Wal-Mart. Bud had a special dog named Buster that he loved dearly and enjoyed taking for car rides. His favorite place to eat was Murphy’s in Bartlesville and he would go to eat any chance that he got.

Bud enjoyed his life while he was here. He would tell his daughter, Lisa, “to enjoy life because life was too short”. He will be missed by all who knew him. The Lord has a new angel now, to be his helper.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Phyllis Royer in 2004; his parents: Everett and Nora Royer; 2 sisters; and 3 brothers.

Bud is survived by one daughter: Lisa Ann Royer and her boyfriend, Paul Lee of Nowata, Oklahoma, his lady friend: Rose King; 4 brothers, 1 sister, many nieces and nephews (He was “Uncle Bud” to many of them) and many friends.
