Mark Charles "Bennie" Armstrong, 46-year-old former Nowata resident passed away Sunday, April 13, 2008 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Mark Charles "Bennie" Armstrong, was born August 12, 1961 in Nowata to Bob Armstrong and Deloris "Dee" Ryan-Armstrong. Mr. Armstrong grew up and attended schools in Nowata. He later went on to further his education by attending Rogers State College. Mr. Armstrong was working as a Project Manager for Techsico Telecommunications. Mr. Armstrong was an avid outdoorsman. He loved camping, playing golf and playing softball. He loved life and created countless friendships over the years. He also loved spending time on his computer, singing, and family get-togethers. But perhaps the one activity that brought him most enjoyment was taking his truck to the mud-runs. Mr. Armstrong is survived by his mother and father of Nowata; by three children, Lacey Catherine Armstrong, Benjamin Walker Armstrong, and Ryan Wyatt Armstrong all of Bartlesville; by one sister, Samantha and her husband Mike Miller and their children Luke, Cole, and Rowdy of Boerne, TX; two brothers, Tony Armstrong and his children Dianne and Robb of Broken Arrow and Steve and his wife Becky and their children, Jack and Ellen of Bartlesville; he was also the proud grandparent of one grandchild, Dylan Blaine of Bartlesville; and by numerous aunts, uncles, and thirty-three cousins. Mr. Armstrong was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Dixie Ryan and Grace and Bennie Armstrong; by one nephew, Rhett Michael; by a beloved aunt, Charlene LaBarr; and by two uncles David Head and Bud Ryan.
