Marla Breshears

Marla Sue Breshears, 65, of Nowata, passed away April 6, 2015 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville. She was born October 13, 1949 in Bartlesville to Marvin and Lois (Ammons) Gore. She was a 1967 graduate of Bartlesville High School and married Larry Don Breshears October 25, 1979. They moved from Bartlesville to Nowata in 1984. Marla enjoyed reading, and watching the Hallmark channel on TV. In her earlier years Marla enjoyed playing golf and tennis with her husband Don. They also played in a bluegrass band together where she played the bass guitar. Later in life Marla enjoyed making jewelry and doing bead work. Most of all she enjoyed her family. Her husband, son, and grandson held a very special place in her heart. She will be missed by all who knew her. Marla is survived by her husband Don of the home; her mother, Lois Gore of Bartlesville; two brothers, David Gore and his wife Sandy of Bartlesville, Lew Gore and his wife Jean of Eufaula; one grandson, Javon Breshears. She is preceded in death by her father, Marvin Gore and her son, John Breshears.
