Mary Kathryn Downey Mary Kathryn Downey, 89, passed away at her home in Edmond, Oklahoma on Sunday, March 21, 2010. She was born on February 2, 1921 in Nowata, OK the daughter of John and Ara (Clarkson) Pendelton. She had been a member of the First Christian Church of Nowata, OK. She was a graduate of Oklahoma University. She married Joseph Downey and had been a homemaker. He preceded her in death in 2006. Survivors include: Son, John Downey, Oklahoma City, OK , Daughter, Janet Kay Whitney, Sagle, Idaho. Grand children: Roary P. Whitney, Sagle, Idaho, Steven J. Whitney, Copinperia, California, and Danille Kodad, Mustang, OK. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 27, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. at the First Christian Church in Nowata. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Nowata, OK. Services were entrusted to Benjamin Funeral Service, Nowata.
