Mary Grass

Mary Sue Grass, 54 year old Vinita resident, died Monday June 23, 2014 in Tulsa. She was born on July 28, 1959 in Claremore, to Dick and Mary Ellen (Jones) Grass. Mary attended Jay High School. She was a very caring person who enjoyed helping others. She was a nursing aide for 30 years working at Autumn Homes and Grace Living Center. She was also a member of the Ribbon Baptist Church in Spavinaw and the United Missionary Baptist Church in Vinita. Mary loved playing bingo and going to the casino, but most of all loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her comanion James Sanders of Vinita, children: Denise Grass of Tahlequah, Joshua Grass of Vinita, Trenton Grass of Tahlequah, Ashley Eaton of Vinita, and Travis Grass of Vinita, grandchildren: Cedrick Grass, Markell Grass, Meociha Grass, Icehess Grass, Reyvaun Selby, Jaleel Downing, Alyssa Grass, Quenton Floyd, Malichi Grass, Trenton Grass, Jr, Jahari Eaton, Jaylynn Grass, 3 great grandchildren, and siblings: Charles Grass of Pryor, Thomas Grass of Spavinaw, Jean Bolin of Stillwell, and Patricia Alberty of Tulsa; also numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings: George Starr and Eva Hall. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, June 27, 2014 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel with Rev. Farris Downing officiating. Interment will follow at Ribbon Cemetery in Spavinaw.
