Mary Hays

Mary Sue Hays, age 73 of Vinita, died Sunday, April 24, 2011. Mary was born in Ada, Oklahoma August 26, 1937, the daughter of William and Ruby (Farmer) Robinson. In 1955 she graduated from Duncan High School. She then continued her education at the University of Oklahoma graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Education in 1959. Teaching was her life. She taught for over 40 years with the last 23 years at Ketchum. Mary also loved to read and spend time with her family. She attended Log Cabin Ministry Church. Survivors include her children: Richard Hays of Huntsville, TX, Melanie McGlasson and husband Jeff of Vinita, and Byron Hays and wife Beth of Colorado Springs, CO, one sister Helen Jo Mayfield and husband Seaynaoh of Las Vegas, NV, four grandchildren, Tommy and Sarah McGlasson, Melissa McGlasson, Emily Hays, and Ashley Hays, one great grandson Jeffery McGlasson, and her best friend Mrs. Karen Rowden. She is preceded in death by her parents and niece Angela Mayfield. Funeral services will 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 2, 2011 at the Log Cabin Ministry Church with Pastors Tom and Mary McGlasson officiating. Interment will follow at Carselowey Cemetery.
