Mary Parmer

Mary "Ileen" Parmer, 64, of Fairland, Oklahoma died at 8:40 p.m., Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at her home following a long illness. Mary was born August 1, 1944 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Herber Karl and Mary (Tschoepe) Harford. She graduated from Marion High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and crafts. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church of Grove. On May 7, 1966, Mary married Philip Parmer in Marion, Iowa. They moved to the Fairland area in December 1999 coming from Northpole, Alaska. Survivors include her husband, Philip Parmer of Fairland; one son, Eric Parmer and his wife Crystal of Gainesville, Texas; one daughter, Maleena Gardner and her husband Jeff of Fairland; one brother, Bruce Harford of Marion, Iowa; and four grandchildren, Kirk Parmer, Amanda Parmer, Morgen Gardner, and Joseph Gardner. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma. The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2009 at Bible Baptist Church of Grove with Reverend Guy Morrow officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
