Mildred Raper

Mildred Louise (Owens) Raper, 88 year old lifetime resident of Colcord, Oklahoma, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 7, 2020.

Mildred was born on July 24, 1931 to Judge and Jensie “Jennie” (Sapsucker) Owens.  Mildred enjoyed sewing, gardening, taking care of grandbabies, and spoiling her youngest daughter Carla.  Mildred took great pleasure in listening to both gospel and older country music, and made time to read her Bible daily.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leonard Raper, two children Bobby Raper and Carl Raper, and a sister Betty Hendrickson. Mildred will be dearly missed by her seven children: Louise Owens-Lewis and husband Terry of Sanders, AZ, Betty Killsnight and husband Anthony of Tahlequah, OK, Henry Lee Raper and Melanie of Twin Oaks, OK, Julia Fay Muskrat of Warner, OK, Cathy Foreman of Oaks, OK, Doris Hill and husband Bill of Colcord, OK and Carla Diane Raper of Colcord, OK.  She leaves behind two sisters; Geneva Revas of Tulsa, OK and Marie Goularte of Tuscon, AZ.  She was blessed with twelve grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren.
