Nancy Melton

Nancy Jane Melton of Grove, Ok. died unexpectedly Sunday March 25, 2007 at her home at the age of 63. Nancy was born September 20, 1943 at Harrisburg, IL, daughter of the late Everett Graham and Annis (Chaney) Chesnut. She has lived in the Grove area for over 17 years, moving from Kansas. Nancy was currently a hair stylist at the Class Act Salon. She was an active member of the Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge, and the VFW, all in Grove. She enjoyed and spent many hours participating in community volunteer work, and was instrumental in coordinating the Elks Toy Run in Grove. Nancy is fondly remembered by friends and family as a "bundle of fire", and a person that exuded a zest for life. Survivors include her Mother, Annis Chesnut of Mulkeytown, IL, her step-father, Abe Chesnut of Mulkeytown, IL, and her step-mother JoNelll Graham of Valier, IL. Four children: Pam Howell of Grove, OK, Jerry Kramer of Salina, OK, Tina Jones of Pittsburg, KS, and Jeff Kramer of Aurora, MO. Two sisters: Jeanie Sobeck of Springfield, IL and Peggy Caldwell of Mulkeytown, IL. Two step-sisters: Rhonda Hedger, Benton, IL and Letha Overturf, Valier, IL, along with eight grandchildren, and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Everett Graham.
