Nancy Sue Wyckoff went to be with her Lord on July 13, 2022. She was born in Nowata, Oklahoma on December 3, 1939, to James Harold Bodle and Lois K (Ward) Bodle. Nancy graduated from Nowata High School in 1958. Nancy lived in Nowata her whole life and loved to reminisce about growing up in the 50’s. On July 21, 1959, she married her high school sweetheart, Jack R. Ellis. On July 21, 1994, they celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary and on August 3, 1994, he left this world for a much better one. Nancy spent many years in the workforce. She retired in 2000, after 20 years with the USDA.
Nancy was a charter member of the Hillside Christian Church in Nowata. Nancy loved the Lord and her church family. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She loved music, traveling, and was an avid reader.
Nancy and Michael Wyckoff were married in 1997 and had 25 and a half years together. She is survived by Michael, of the home; a daughter Regina (Gina) Swan and her husband, Kevin of Barsndall; a son Brett (Dink) Ellis and wife, Khristina of Hugo; one step-son, Derik Wyckoff of California, one-step daughter, Dawn Wyckoff of Michigan, and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Ashley K. Newton and husband, O’Ryan of Edmond, Matthew B. Miller and wife, Chelsea of Dewey, Dally Jack Ellis and Amelia Vaughn of Nowata, Dillon Jacob Ellis of South Coffeyville, Nathan Gage Miller, Nickolos Blake Miller, Colton James Miller, Macy K. Miller, Draven Shane Lowe, Hendrix Lee Steele, Marley Monroe Dunlap, Lexi Thomas, Axton Thomas, Alijah Thomas, Will Swan, Drew Swan, Hannah Crawford, and Greyson T. Wyckoff. One niece, Elizabeth Forbes and husband, Phil of Albuquerque, and one nephew, Jim Headrick and wife, Jackie of Tulsa.
Nancy is preceded in death by her first husband, Jack R. Ellis, her mother, Lois K. Bodle, her father, Harold Bodle, and her sister, Bonnie Headrick.
A graveside memorial will be held on July 30, 2022, at 10:00am at Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery with Aaron Lawrence officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Service. The register book is available to sign at Benjamin Funeral Service.
