Nellie Mcdonald

Nellie Marie McDonald, 100 year old Vinita resident, died at her home on Wednesday, June 12, 2013. She was born on November 13, 1912 in Mayes County (Rock Creek) to Henry J. and Neppie (Blackstone) Hamilton. Nellie had worked at Eastern State Hospital as an aide. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Nellie was married to Paul I. McDonald, he preceded her in death on November 29, 1971. The family includes: two sons, Kenneth and Marvin McDonald both of Vinita, one son James McDonald preceded her in death; a sister, Louise Judd of Joplin, Missouri; seven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Also preceding her in death were three brothers: Buss Hamilton, Jake Hamilton, and Joe Hamilton and three sisters: Jen Jones, Ollie Lewis, and Maude Pierce. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home. The funeral will be held Monday, June 17, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Luginbuel Chapel, with Pastor Skip McClain officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita.
