Norma Helm

Norma Jean Helm, age 94, Lawrence, Kansas, passed away November 1, 2019 after a short illness.

She was born in Miami, Oklahoma, to the late Archie Harold Daniel and Opal Courtney Daniel. Norma married Ralph Marion Helm on May 25, 1946 in Columbus, Kansas, moving with her family and living in a number of places until ending up in Kansas City, Missouri, being the spouse of an Air Force officer and airline pilot. Ralph preceded her in death July 27, 2000. Norma prided herself on her home, her children, and had exquisite interior design skills.

In addition to her husband, and parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Don Daniel, Jim Courtney, and Carl Daniel.

She is survived by her son. Steven Ralph Helm and wife, Donna K., Grove, Oklahoma; two daughters, Paula Helm Murray and husband, James, Kansas City, Missouri, and Sally Helm; grandchildren Amanda (Helm) Love and husband, William of Lee's Summit, Missouri and Daniel Helm of Overland Park, Kansas, and Kristy Caswell, Grove, Oklahoma; a special nieces and nephew, Beverly and Allan Daniel, Francis Trask of Arlington TX and Debbie Robbins Miami OK ; great grandchildren Nathan Love, Jacob Love, Graham Love and Seth Love, Harley and Kaylee Caswell.

Funeral services are planned for Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at the Worley- Luginbuel Chapel. Pastor Gary Bishop will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow in the Fairland Cemetery, Fairland, OK.
