Oleta Barnes

Oleta May Barnes, 80, of Afton, passed away at her home on Thursday, March 22, 2007. Born on Oct. 24, 1926 in Cleora to George Thomas and Margaret Elizabeth (Landrum) Brewster. She married Waldo James Barnes on Sept. 16, 1947 in Vinita. She had lived in the area for the past 36 years. She was a retired School Teacher from the Cleora Schools. Member of OEA and NEA, Charter Member of Trinity Southern Baptist Church in Afton. Preceded in death by her parents, 3 Brothers; Bill, Jack and LeRoy Brewster. 3 Sisters; Pansy Brewster, Wana Beach and Lena Jackson. She is survived by her husband; Waldo Children; Ronnie James Barnes of Bluejacket Becky and Husband Bill Davis of Afton Terry Brewster Barnes of Tulsa Gregory Jack Barnes of Owasso Grandchildren; Jimbo Barnes of Afton Brandi Carroll of Afton Jacob Barnes of South Coffeyville, OK Jan Williams of Afton Alicia Sharp of Stillwater Gabe Barnes of Tulsa Craig Barnes of Tulsa Great Grandchildren Ashley Lynn Carroll, David Carroll, Lane Carroll Kenley Carroll, Rachele Williams and Ryan Williams Sisters Ina Harrison, Louella Palmer, Peggy Johnson, Jeanie Crawford Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday March 23, 2007 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home.
