Pamela Arnold

Pamela Wyvone Arnold, 76 year old Nowata resident, died Saturday, June 4, 2011 at her home. She was born December 7, 1934 in Boise City, Oklahoma, daughter of Charles M. "Shorty" Wilson and Bessie Ellen (Stubbert) Wilson. Wyvone attended school in Childers, OK before moving with her family to California. Wyvone graduated high school in Compton, California at the age of 16 years. She was united in marriage to Lewis Robert Arnold on May 26, 1951. Wyvone and Lewis made their home in California, returning to Nowata in 1971. Since that time, Wyvone has been a member of: Eastern Stars, the OSU Extension Club "Sunflower Bells" and Secretary of the Nowata VFW Women's Auxiliary. Wyvone enjoyed: spending time with her great grandchildren and attending their activities, going to the casino and quilting. Wyvone is survived by: her son, Jim Arnold his wife Alice, of Nowata; a sister, Patricia Cogbill of California; a brother, Melvin Wilson of Nowata; 6 grandchildren; Nathan Arnold and wife Shannon of Claremore, Pamela Arnold of Claremore, Dusty Mathews and his wife Ally of Tulsa, Corrie Herder and husband Jim of Illinois, Ashley Orf and husband Justin of Tulsa, and Ashley Neff of Barnsdall. 5 great grandchildren; Gage Arnold, Trace Arnold, Ainsley Hess-Mathews, Alex Herder and Zack Herder, and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Lewis Robert (Bob) Arnold and a son, William Melvin "Bill" Arnold. Services to honor Wyvone will be 10:00 am, Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Benjamin Funeral Home Chapel with Dean Bridges officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Nowata, OK.
