Patsy Inman

Patsy R. Inman, 75-year old Vinita resident, passed away on October 15, 2011. She was born in Vinita on May 1, 1936 to John D. and Burnice Stone Leforce. Patsy attended Vinita schools and was a graduate of Vinita High School. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a Past Matron of Vinita Chapter #20. She was also a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Patsy was proud of her Cherokee heritage. Patsy enjoyed embroidery work, reading, and collecting antiques. She worked many years at Haslett Drugs and was a house parent for Home of Hope. She was a friendly and cheerful person who never complained. She will be terribly missed by family and friends. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents and her best friend and the father of her children, Doyle W. Inman. Also preceding her in death was her son Michael W. Inman, daughter Nancy Inman Greaves, and sister Johnann Leforce Helt. Survivors include two daughters, Dee Dee Runge of Soloman, Kansas and Kathy Palmer of Ardmore, Oklahoma. She is also survived by two sisters, Sally Boyd of Vinita and Sammie Hays of Ketchum and five nieces and nephews. Patsy was called MeMe by her seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. George Gilland officiating. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the United Methodist Women c/o The First United Methodist Church at 314 W. Canadian, Vinita, OK 74301.
