Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita. 918-256-5555. Peggy Sue Looney, 75 year old Vinita resident passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at her home in Vinita. She was born on April 7, 1941 in Vinita to Charles and Sarah (Fry) Looney. Peggy worked at the Army Ammunition Plant in Parsons, Kansas, until an injury forced her retirement. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church in Vinita and loved to hit the local garage sales. Preceding her in death were her parents, twin sister, Nancy Pease, brothers, Sam and Eugene Looney. The family includes: her daughter, Pansy Hawes of Vinita; sisters Roberta Clanton of White Oak, Maver Jo Stroman of Wichita, KS, and Martha Jane Holt of Kingsville, MO; brother James "Jim" Looney of Winfield, KS; grandchildren, Rebecca Hawkins of Inola and Melissa Richmond of Vinita; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; a sister in-law, Alice Looney of Bluejacket and special cousin Shirley Osburn of Vinita. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the White Oak Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the White Oak Cemetery.
