Randy Jean (Edwards) Brown, 68, resident of Copan, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born February 27, 1944 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Gaston Dale Edwards and Ruth Ann (Brown) Edwards. Randy was raised in Copan, attended and graduated from Copan Public Schools. She married Lon Chaney on February 27, 1962. They made their home in Copan. To this union, daughter, Nancy Ann Chaney was born December 28, 1962 and daughter, Lonna Jean Chaney was born January 18, 1967. Randy was married to James Ross "Jimmy" Brown on December 19, 1998. They made their home in Copan; at this time, she was blessed with two stepsons: Travis Sterlin and Shawn Devlin. Randy loved life, the Lord, her family and her church. She worked at Reda Pump, Goodyear and OAI Electronics until her retirement. Her #1 passion was her family. She loved to have her house full of family. She loved cooking and making quilts. She wanted to make sure every family member had one of her beautiful handmade quilts. And if you got married or had a baby, she was sure to give you a quilt made with so much love, time and care. She also enjoyed making prayer quilts for the church. She has quilts spread all over the world, due to this passion. Once you were family to Randy, you would always be family. It didn't matter if she was Mom, Aunt Randy, Grandma or Friend, her house and arms were always open to you. She was Mom and Grandma to more than we can name and she loved each and every one of them. She loved and attended bible study with Bro. Ralph Dersham and Ridin' for the Brand Cowboy Church in Wann. She was preceded in death by her parents: Dale and Ruth Ann Edwards; 1 brother, Dale Earl "Dee" Edwards; niece, Sandy Marie Edwards; and nephew, Andrew Dale Edwards. She is survived by: her husband, Jimmy of the home; daughter, Nancy Chaney of Copan; daughter Lonna Brumback and husband Jim of Miami, OK; son, Travis Brown and wife Krystal of Dewey; son, Shawn Brown and wife Chelle of Copan; sister, Vicki Forrest of Copan; sister, Donna Forrest of Copan; brother, Danny Edwards and wife Donna of Ark City, KS; grandchildren: Lacey and Tim Bradley, Bobby Jo and Bill Brewington, Cactus Wright, Jason Taylor, Kallie, Lora, Kortney and Sarah Brumback, Trae, Duel and Victoria Brown and Kretia Vann; great grandchildren: Shooter and Slayton Brewington and T.J. Bradley and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Ridin' for the Brand Cowboy Church Camp c/o Arvest Bank.
