Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma, 918-786-2261. Richard P. DeRose, Jr., age 50, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2017, of cancer, at his home, with his family by his side. He was born in San Francisco, California, on January 11, 1967, to Richard and Vicki DeRose. His father preceded him in death on February 22, 2000. Richard moved to Grove in 1988 with his family and owned DeRose Construction doing exceptional carpentry work until his death. He loved racing dirt bikes, circle card, street bikes and drag racing with his pro-mod, formerly owned by his father. He just loved anything that would go fast. It was a true family affair to go to the races in the motor home and watch the whole family racing on the tracks. His daughter, Jessica and son; Richi also raced their junior dragsters down the track. He truly loved his family especially those grandkids. They filled his world with love and laughter. Richard is survived by the love of his life; Kimberly Neese, his mother Vicki DeRose, his daughter Jessica DeRose, his son Richi DeRose, his brother, Greg DeRose; Grandchildren; Jayla Ritchie and Brooklyn DeRose all from Grove and a daughter , Toni Wisely of Tulsa, niece Christian DeRose and nephews; Jeremy and Gregory DeRose, and Rashaad McDonald all of Arkansas. A visitation will be held from 6-8 pm, Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Edgmand Cemetery in Columbus, Kansas, under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home. Dennis Johnson, Chaplin of Sherwin Christian Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Richard P.
