Richard Frye

Richard Eugene Frye, 61, passed away on August 30, 2022, at his residence in Nowata, Oklahoma.

Richard was born on July 30, 1961, to Raymond Lewis and Rosemary (Parker) Frye in Claremore, Oklahoma. He grew up in Chelsea, OK and graduated from Chelsea High School. Richard worked in transportation, driving a semi-truck for 25 years before retiring. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching “Big Foot” television shows. Richard loved his family and lived for his grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Raymond and Rosemary Frye and two brothers; Don Frye and Mark Frye.

Richard is survived by his daughters; Kelsey Berry and husband, Justin of Nowata, OK, and Matti Frye of Nowata, OK, his grandchildren; Bentley, Emmy, and Jameson of Nowata, OK, his brother; Dale Frye of White Oak, OK and his sisters; Cathy Workman and husband, Todd of Vinita, OK and Cindy Frye of Pryor, OK.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the Chelsea Assembly of God Church with Pastor Eddie Matthews officiating. Interment will follow at the Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery. A come and go visitation has been planned for Wednesday, September 7, 2022, from 9am- 5pm. The family will be available for visitation from 5pm-7pm.
