Richard Reese

Richard L. "Dick" Reese, age 73, a resident of Bartlesville went home to be with the Lord Jesus Wednesday March 7, 2007 with his family at his side. Dick was born July 31, 1933 near Roxbury, Kansas the youngest of six children born to Merrill Reese and Hazel Ann (Brown) Reese. After graduating high school Dick and Donna Pearson were united in marriage on June 1, 1952 in Salina, Kansas and enjoyed a blessed and inseparable partnership for 54 years. From 1953 through 1955 Dick served with distinction in an artillery division of the U.S. Army. In the early sixties Dick became involved in the automotive business initially in sales and late as the general manager of dealerships in Kansas. He owned and operated Reese Motor Company for five years. In 1969 the family moved to Bartlesville and began a three decade association with Russ Rogers Chevrolet where he served as General Manager for many years. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church where he served as an Elder. Mr. Reese is survived by his wife, Donna of the home, a son, Richard and his wife Tricia Reese of Stevenson Ranch, CA, a daughter, Karla and husband Paul Talkington of Owasso, OK, four grandchildren, Ashleigh Reese, Kayla Talkington, Kristine Talkington and Cody Talkington Funeral services will be Saturday March 10, 2007 at Redeemer Lutheran Church at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Mark E. Carter officiating. Graveside services will be held Monday in the Roxbury Cemetery in Roxbury, KS at 2:00 p.m. with Rev.
