Richard “Sammy” Dean Fink, 54, of Lenapah, Oklahoma passed away June 11, 2022, at his residence. He was born to Virginia Lue Fink in Wichita, Kansas on June 4, 1968. When Sammy was 2 years old, his family moved to the Lenapah area and that is where he remained until his passing.
While in school, Sammy played basketball, football, and baseball. Although he would technically be considered a “jock” in school, he did not have the attitude that went along with that title. He was a very laid back, kind, and a generous person, who would give the shirt off his back if someone needed it. He graduated from Lenapah High School and would go on to attend college at NEO.
Sammy enjoyed watching sports, breakdancing, noodling, and deejaying. He loved and listened to all kinds of music. Sammy was also an excellent pool player. He enjoyed spending all his time with his family and friends. Sammy was greatly loved by all who knew him. Although Sammy was an only child, he was not just a friend, he was family to many brothers and sisters. He was the friend that was reliable and dependable and always willing to help if someone was in need. To his friends, he was also known as a great matchmaker for numerous couples.
For the last 20 years, Sammy, with his altruistic personality, spent his time taking care of his mother. He took very good care of her, attending to all her needs. On March 17, 2022, Sammy married Eliesha Fink. The couple had been friends for quite some time. Sammy was very proud to finally be a married man at the age of 53.
Sammy is survived by his wife; Eliesha Fink of Lenapah, OK, his mother; Virginia Fink of Lenapah, OK, his son; Dylan Conger of Coffeyville, KS, his granddaughter; Verna Conger of Coffeyville, KS, his daughter; Eden Pabitzky of Skiatook, OK, his step-son; Gabriel Gibson of Winfield, KS, his step-daughter; Ashley Malbacias of Winfield, KS, his granddaughter; Olivia Malbacias of Winfield, KS, his step-son; Benjamin Gibson of Winfield, KS, his stepson; Lawrence Briggans of Coffeyville, KS, his stepson; Andrew Briggans of Coffeyville, KS, his step-daughter; Amy Briggans of Coffeyville, KS, his special friend; Jennifer Harden of Lenapah, OK, and numerous other family members and friends.
