Luginbuel Funeral Home - Vinita - 918-256-5555..... Ricky Gene Pope, 61 year old Vinita resident, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017. Rick was born on June 24, 1956 at Vinita to Shirley and Willie Pope. He worked numerous years as a welder as well as working for the county. He enjoyed collecting guns, knives, and coins, metal detecting, fishing, and watching OU football. Survivors include his daughter Brandi Kannmore of Vinita, grandchildren: Courtney Hanes, Caleb Hanes, and Ethan Hanes, and siblings: Glenda Pursley and husband Ron of Bartlett, KS, Dennis Pope of Chetopa, KS, Michael Pope of Vinita, Larry Pope and wife Theresa of Emporia, KS, Donald Pope and wife Sherri of Eucha, Terry Pope of Vinita, and Jim Pope and wife Sue of Seattle, WA. He is preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel with Pastor Justin Turner officiating.
