Luginbuel Funeral Home - Vinita - 918-256-5555....... Robert Lewis Kemp, Jr., 56 year old Vinita resident, passed away Friday, November 28, 2014. Robert was born in Nuremberg, Germany where he lived until he was about 10 years old. His parents were Robert and Gearldine (Bruner) Kemp. After moving back to the United States Robert continued his education in Keota, OK, graduating there in 1977. He worked as a master painter for the Nordam Group in the aerospace industry. On September 15, 1990 he was united in marriage to Robin Chase and together they raised a daughter Malia. Robert loved fishing, hunting, playing pool, shooting off fireworks, hunting arrowheads, collecting comic books, and was a huge Cardinals baseball fan. Above all, he loved spending time with his family. Survivors include his loving wife Robin of the home, daughter Malia Lawson of Vinita, grandson Hunter Kemp Lawson of Vinita, siblings: Dennis Kemp of El Paso, TX, Carolyn Barraw and husband Ron of Keota, OK, and Pamela Graham and husband Bob of Mustang, OK, mother-in-law JoAnn Wilkinson, brother-in-law Jay Chase and wife Bobbie of Vinita, sister-in-law Georganne Erickson of Yuma, AZ, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other loved ones. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Bobbie West. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, December 4, 2014 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, December 5, 2014 at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Skip McClain officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
