Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita, 918-256-5555 Roger Warren Regan, 84 year old resident of Vinita, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 in Tulsa at the St. Francis Hospital. He was born on April 10, 1930 in Highgate, Vermont to Rosmond and Beverly (Start) Regan. Roger served his country in the United States Army. He married Beverley Corey on November 14, 1953 in Bedford, Quebec, Canada, and would have celebrated their 61st anniversary in November. They moved to the Welch area in 1974 from Vermont, when Roger became a superintendent of a coal mining operation. After retirement they moved to Monkey Island and then to rural Vinita about 22 years ago. Roger in his younger years was the NASCAR Rookie of the Year, while racing his 1957 Chevy for the Flying Tigers Racing Team at Thunder Road in Vermont. Roger was very mechanically gifted and enjoyed working on his 1950 Hudson Car, building and fixing anything he could in his spare time. Preceding him in death were his parents, and a brother, Larry Regan. The family includes: his wife Beverley of the home; son, Ronald Scott Regan of Tulsa; daughter, Kathryn Ann Horton of Vinita; sister, Rosalie Teague of St. Albans, Vermont; grandchildren, RoseMary Daniels, Felecia Darryl Regan, Derrick Nicholas Regan, Sydney Renee Horton, Katelyn Ann Horton; great-grandchildren, Christa Evelyn Regan, Channing Jett Regan, Holly Pace and Abbey Pace; also his special companion, Petie, his dog.
