Roland Bourdeau, 82 of Grove, passed away Friday, June 19, 2020. Roland was born in Pawtucket, RI on April 23, 1938 to Edeas and Florence (St. George) Bourdeau. He proudly served as a paratrooper in the United States Army. He worked for numerous years as a Master Tool Maker for General Motors. During his retirement he served as a Marshal for 20 years at Westwood Golf Club in Norman. Roland had many life interests. He enjoyed listening to 50’s music, seeing shows in Branson, ballroom dancing, telling jokes, cooking, eating New England Sea Food, and golfing. He was very good at golf, earning 3 Hole In One Plaques. He also enjoyed watching OU Football and the Red Sox’s. Roland was also devoted to reading his Bible, reading it cover to cover multiple times.
Survivors include his loving wife Joan Marie of the home, children: Roland Bourdeau, Jr., Michael Bourdeau (Kathleen) of Massachusetts, Michelle McKinnon (Greg) of Massachusetts, Noel Bourdeau (Angel) of Florida, Christine Roberston-McKinney (Robert) of Claremore, Lori-Ann Jenkins of Norman, Colleen Brown of Norman, and Todd Corriveau of Norman, siblings: Roger Bourdeau of Florida and Jeanne Bourdeau of Rhode Island, as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Alice Landry, Leo Bourdeau, Norman Bourdeau, Caroline Theroux, and Edward Bourdeau, and one granddaughter Jessica King.
Graveside services and military rites will be 11 a.m., Monday, June 22, 2020 at Olympus North Cemetery, Grove, OK. Services are under the direction of Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com or on the Worley Luginbuel Facebook page.
