Ronald Ray Crupper, born 28 January 1944 in Nowata, OK sadly passed away at the age of 81 in Bartlesville OK.
Ron made a big impact when he was born. It's been said that when he was born, he was between 13 and 15 lbs., he was a big boy! Ron was the youngest of 6 brothers and sisters. Ron grew up humble and knew the meaning of hard work. He mowed Ball Cemetery's grass to make money to buy his school clothes for the coming school year. Ron survived Typhoid fever and having his appendix burst, he was a tough kid! Ron left Nowata for California for work, but when that didn't pan out, Ron enlisted in the US Army in June of 1964. Ron met the love of his life, Sharen Endicott at Fort Sill, OK in 1965. Their love story was one for a Hollywood movie! We've heard stories where Ron and Sharen were at a hotel room, and Ron being the gentlemen he was, gave Sharen the room, and he slept out in the car. Ron proposed, and they were married 20 November 1966. Ron was deployed to the Vietnam war from 1968 to 1969, and was involved in the Tet Offensive. Ron retired from US Army in 1984 with the rank of First Sergeant, serving 20 plus years.
Ron liked to fish, hunt, play golf, cards and entertain; he also loved to eat. Ron was a dedicated and loving Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and friend. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hazel and Pearly Crupper, his Brothers Dwight Crupper, his sister Shirley Inman, his sister Ruby Watkins and his sister Charlene Gorman. Ron is survived by his brother JP Crupper and wife Lena Crupper, His sons Kevin Crupper and wife Natasha Crupper and Keith Crupper, his grandchildren Arianna Woodmansey and husband Jack Woodmansey, Alexis Ruiz and husband Cristian Ruiz, Aphiniti Crupper and Amari Crupper, his Great Grandchildren Santiago Ruiz, Nicholas Ruiz, Smith Woodmansey and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He will be truly missed!
