Ronald Harper

Luginbuel Funeral Home Vinita, 918-256-5555. Ronald Edward Harper, 68 year old Vinita resident, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017. Ron was born in Vinita on November 29, 1948 to Donald and Ruth (Thompson) Harper. He graduated from Vinita High School in 1967. From 1969-1971 he proudly served in the United States Army. Most of Ron's working career he as a welder, but also ran a boot and shoe repair store. He enjoyed gardening, playing with his grandkids, and visiting with his neighbor Larry. Survivors include his children: Ronnie Harper, Clint Harper, and Jamie Harper all of Tulsa, grandchildren: Taylor, Paydon, Makenna, Kayli, Christian, Trenton, and Aiden Harper, Blake Backus, Kaylee Backus, Maryssa Haff, and one great grandchild Kyron. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Gerald Harper. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Monday, March 20, 2016 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
