Ronnie Clarkson

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma 918-786-2261. Ronnie Lee Clarkson, age 75, left this walk of life on May 14, 2017 at his residence in Grove, Oklahoma. Ronnie was born on May 29, 1941 in Bluejacket, Oklahoma. He was the son of Roscoe E. and Ruby A. (Davis) Clarkson. He was a member of the 1958 class at Oklahoma Boys State. Ronnie joined the Katy Railroad in 1960 as a section laborer in McAlester, Oklahoma. He worked at various points between Denison Texas and Parsons Kansas as a section foreman before becoming an assistant road master at Nevada, Missouri in 1966. He later was road master at Waco, TX from 67-68. He was train master from 68' through November of 71. Clarkson was promoted at the age of 31 as the northern division superintendent of the Katy Railroad; his jurisdiction covered all operations north of the Red River. Ronnie worked for the Katy railroad for over 28 years. Ronnie was also a Master Mason with the Vinita Masonic Lodge #5, to which he has received his 50 year pin, for 50 + years of service. Ronnie was united in marriage to Delores "Dee" on May 27, 2001 in Plattsburgh, Missouri. They moved to Grove, Oklahoma in 2006. Ronnie was a member of the First Baptist Church in his home town of Bluejacket. Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Roscoe Everett Clarkson, his mother Ruby Alene (Davis) Clarkson, his sister Anita Mae Clarkson and his son Johnny Everett Clarkson. He leaves behind his wife Delores "Dee" Clarkson, two sons Roger Dale Clarkson and his wife Mary, and Guy Evans Bomar and his wife Veronica, three daughters Shari Lynn Clarkson-Lucas and her husband Ben, Deanna Bomar Couser and husband David, and Beth Bomar Herman and husband George, two brothers Glen Dale Clarkson and Tom Everett Clarkson. He was blessed with twelve grandchildren; Cole, Clay, Christian, Isabella, Amanda, Robbie, Kyle, Haliegh, Cheyenne, Skylar, Eric, & Andrew, and two great grandchildren; Saydi & Jaxson. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8 pm, Friday, May 19, 2017. Services are scheduled for 10:00 am, Saturday, May 20, 2017, both being held at First Baptist Church in Bluejacket with Pastor Wesley Davis officiating. Honoring Ronnie's life serving as casket bearers will be Wilson Six, Chris Thomas Clarkson, Rex Clakson, Lester Davis, Wade Henry Davis, Curtis Davis and Paul Dale Davis. Honorary casket bearers will be Leman Clarkson, Manuel Clarkson, and Ronald Guy Clarkson. Ronnie will be laid to rest in the Bluejacket Cemetery next to his son Johnny.
