Ronnie Ray Pond, 74 year old Grove resident, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019. Ronnie was born in Fort Worth, TX on April 22, 1944 to Willard and Cathryn (Ferrall) Pond. On April 22, 1989 he was united in marriage to Marian Howard. Ronnie retired from the United States Army after 21 years of services. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and was a former member of the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, spending time at the lake, and collecting tools, trains, guns, and movies. He was a huge John Wayne fan.
Survivors include his wife Marian Pond, children: Hazel Murray, Anna Pond, Rosemary Pond, Rhonda Smith, William Wilson, Lonnie LaCore, Michelle LaCore Bennett, and Melissa True, siblings: W. N. Pond, Kevin Godi, and Linda Pond Scott, 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
