Rosemary Kelso, 71, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, left this world to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 13, 2010. Born in Welch, OK on May 22, 1939 to Lester and Hallie (Newman) McMillan, Rosemary was the youngest of three children. She raised her four children, Gregg, Melissa, Paul, and Shawn in Vinita, OK. She began working at TH Rogers Lumber Co. in 1967, where she remained until retirement in August of 2008 after 42 years. She was a Sunday School teacher at Carselowey Church in the 1970's and 1980's. In 2003, she joined her daughter Melissa as Vice President/Chief Financial Officer of Hospice of Owasso, Inc. where she proudly balanced the finances to the penny each year, a task that amazed even the best accountant. She remained an active board member of Hospice of Owasso until May 2010. Rosemary was passionate about her love for and relationship with her savior, Jesus Christ, and did not hesitate to share the Good News with others. She gave to many different organizations that she felt were winning lives for the Lord. Rosemary always put God first. She also loved her children, grandchildren, and was especially fond of her great-grandchildren. She enjoyed spending her days gardening, working on building projects, and mowing her lawn. She was an avid supporter of any sport or activity that her children or grandchildren were a part of. Rosemary is survived by: her daughter Melissa Kelso, sons: Gregg Kelso and wife Peyton, Paul Kelso and wife Joyce, and Shawn Kelso. Rosemary was fondly known as "Gran" and is also survived by her grandchildren: 7 grandsons: Josh James and wife Sammy , Donovan Kelso and wife Lauren, Blake Kelso, Chance Turner, Dakota Murdock, James Kelso, and Tristen Kelso; 1 granddaughter: Kalen Lavender and husband Jon; great-grandchildren: Lucas Lay and Preslee James. She is also survived by: her brother, Gene McMillan and wife Virginia, sister Mavontiene Branstetter and husband Kenneth, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday June 17, 2010 from 6:00-8:00pm at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita. A private family burial will be held at Carselowey Cemetary, Ketchum, OK in the early morning of Friday June 18, 2010 officiated by Pastor John Bechtold. A public memorial service will follow at 10:00am at Cowboy Junction Church with Pastors Wade Markham and Bruce Butler officiating.
